About
Built for the security leaders being asked to do more with less certainty
ServiceSignal was born out of a straightforward observation: most security leaders know something is wrong, but struggle to articulate exactly what, or to evidence it to the people who control the budget.
They sit in board meetings fielding questions like “are we secure?” without the data to give an honest answer. They commission assessments that produce reports too technical for executives and too high-level to drive action. They benchmark against frameworks that weren't designed with their sector in mind.
We built ServiceSignal to change that. Our platform structures security posture around six dimensions that matter — not because consultants decided they should, but because they reflect how real organisations experience real risk.
James Mackie
Founder & CEO, ServiceSignal
James has spent over a decade helping B2B organisations understand and improve their security posture. Frustrated by the gap between how security is assessed and how it is communicated to decision-makers, he founded ServiceSignal to build the platform he always wished existed.
Mission
Give every security leader a clear, honest signal about where they stand and where to act.
Approach
Evidence-based, peer-benchmarked, and structured around dimensions that reflect real-world risk.
Values
Clarity over complexity. Honesty over reassurance. Action over compliance theatre.
